Sunset shots are normally a little cheesy for my taste. But add a mean old urban highrise into the frame and it makes for a photo worth taking. When biking home Wednesday the beauty of summer at its highest made me shoot back out of the house with my camera to take a couple frames and this is the result. I was out last night shooting for Soundvenue. Nick Caves Grinderman for the third time this year. Got some nice shots that can be viewed here

Yesterday I went out to meet up with the guys from Our Broken Garden to see them play a show at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival. They were first on the bill and received deservedly fantastic reviews the following day. Got some nice shots during the show and backstage.

Day 4 of Roskilde was an early start over at the Odeon to shoot Bring Me The Horizon. Been looking forwards to this all weekend and they didn't disappoint. Jumping around the stage, getting circle pits going and flipping me off. They delivered a great set of shots. Other highlights on the final day were Pulled Apart By Horses, Janelle Monae, My Chemical Romance (purely for a photographic view) and Big Boi who dropped several Outkast tracks in the first half of his set.

Day 2 proved to be of highs and lows with a extremely busy schedule. The high was that I along with 20 other photographers who were first in line to shoot M.I.A had the great privilege of going on the Orange stage on her second song of the night to shoot. We only had the one number but the instructions we got given by security were the following:

Don't shoot from the side of stage on the first song. Second song shoot all you want. Please use flash all you want. Go wherever you want. AND. Go Crazy.

I don't think I'll ever be told such a set of sweet rules ever again while shooting a band live. Sadly the low point was missing Magnetic Man. I waited for 2 hours as they were scheduled, but having 2 support bands for a festival slot didn't prove a success with the crowd with it getting closer to MIA's set almost half the crowd left the Arena before they even came on. Shame.
